How earning works

Feed, accept, job, earnings.

  1. Step 1

    Go online

    Open the work feed. Open tasks near you appear with the estimate attached, so you know the range before you look.

  2. Step 2

    Send an offer

    Your price, your arrival time, a short note. The customer picks. Your quote is what you are paid.

  3. Step 3

    Do the job

    En route, arrived, in progress, done. The customer follows along on the map. Add proof photos when it matters.

  4. Step 4

    Get paid

    The customer confirms, the held payment releases, and your earnings pay out through Stripe to your bank account.

Your rights, in writing

What the Digital Platform Workers’ Rights Act guarantees, and how TASX meets it.

Ontario’s Digital Platform Workers’ Rights Act, 2022 has been in force since 1 July 2025. It requires a platform to tell each worker, in writing, how pay is calculated, how tips are handled, when they are paid, what decides which work they are offered, and whether a rating is used. It also requires a written reason before removing access and forbids reprisals. The full disclosure lives in the app; this is the plain version.

  • How pay is calculated

    The customer pays your agreed price plus the service fee. You see the price, the fee and your payout before you accept. Every completed job comes with an itemised summary.

  • How tips are handled

    Customers tip after the job, not before, so a tip is never a condition of getting the work. TASX does not take a cut of tips.

  • The minimum you can earn

    Every assignment is measured against Ontario’s general minimum wage for your active time. If a job runs long enough to fall under that line, TASX makes up the difference. Tips are not counted toward it.

  • When you get paid

    Earnings are paid out through Stripe Connect to your bank account. You can see every job, base, bonus and tip, itemised, on your earnings screen.

  • How work is offered

    Every factor that decides which tasks you see and in what order is listed in the app, in writing. Declining work is never counted against you, and how much you earn TASX is never a factor.

  • Your rating

    The average of the star ratings customers leave after completed jobs. Nothing else feeds it: not response time, not acceptance rate, not cancellations. You can dispute a review and a person will look at it.

  • If access is ever removed

    You get a written reason before your access is removed, except where we must act immediately to protect someone’s safety, in which case the written reason follows straight after.

  • No reprisals

    Asking about any of this, or exercising a right under the Act, can never count against you.

What you need

Four things before your first job.

    Be 18 or older and able to enter a contract in Ontario.

  2. 2

    A verified phone number a one-time code confirms it.

  3. 3

    Identity verification completed once, before you can earn.

  4. 4

    A licence for gated categories if you work in one of the categories below, TASX checks the document your province requires.
