Terms of Service

Effective August 18, 2026 · TASX, Windsor, Ontario, Canada

These terms are an agreement between you and TASX ("we", "us") covering your use of the TASX website and apps. By creating an account or using TASX you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use TASX.

1. What TASX is

TASX is a marketplace. Customers post everyday tasks or request rides; independent local professionals ("Taskers" and drivers) choose whether to take them. Taskers and drivers are independent contractors, not TASX employees. TASX provides the platform — matching, messaging, pricing guidance, and payment handling — not the underlying services themselves.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
  • Keep your account information accurate and your credentials private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • Phone verification is required to book or work. Taskers must also pass identity verification, and licensed trades must hold the licence their province requires — TASX checks documents for licence-gated categories.

3. Fees and payment

  • Customers pay the agreed price plus a 15% service fee (12% for business accounts). Ride fares include a commission retained by TASX.
  • Prices shown before booking are estimates unless marked as locked quotes. TASX Pro subscribers get quote-lock and other perks described at purchase.
  • Payment is held when a job starts and released to the professional when the work is confirmed complete.
  • Cancellation fees may apply after a professional has been dispatched; the fee schedule is always shown before you confirm a cancellation.

4. Good behaviour

  • No illegal work, no harassment, no discrimination, and no taking arranged jobs off-platform to avoid fees.
  • Reviews must reflect genuine experiences from completed jobs.
  • We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules or put others at risk.

5. Safety and disputes

  • Report problems through the app promptly. For eligible tasks, TASX's protection covers verified property damage claims up to $1,000, subject to review.
  • We may mediate disputes between customers and professionals and make a final call on refunds in clear-cut cases.

6. Content and licence

You keep ownership of the content you post (photos, descriptions, reviews) and give TASX a licence to use it to operate the service — for example showing your task photos to nearby professionals. Don't post content you don't have rights to.

7. Disclaimers and liability

TASX provides the platform "as is". To the maximum extent Ontario law allows, TASX is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent professionals or customers, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid TASX in the three months before the claim or $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including Ontario consumer protection law.

8. Changes and ending

You can close your account anytime in the app. We may update these terms; if a change is significant we'll notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use TASX after that means you accept the update.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, sitting in Windsor.
